Obituary for John Elliott White
John Elliott White Was born on December 13, 1962 to Isaac White and the late Chieko White. On September 24, 2017, God called John home.
John accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour in 1999. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and after graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for four years. John was employed by Covanta Energy where he worked for over 19 years.
On December 2, 1986 John married the love of his life, Lisa Cathy Wright. There were 4 children born to that union.
John enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and his grandson Reggie, whom he affectionately called “Screamer”. John also enjoyed spending time with all of his nieces, nephews and extended family. His home was the place where everyone would gather for food, fun, laughs and the best barbeque in town. John was dedicated to the Pantry of Hope Ministry, which he started along with his wife Lisa from the garage of their home. John was known by his family and friends to be quite the comedian and was a man of integrity who served the Lord by helping others.
John leaves to cherish his memories his wife of over 30 years, Lisa; six sons, John, Reginald, Patrick, Brandon, Brian, and Cameron; one daughter, Marlene; one grandson, Reginald; his father, Isaac White; two sisters, Elizabeth White and Icy Cornell; two brothers, Troy and Isaac White Jr.; two brothers-in-law; 5 sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
